Excellent hosts, beautiful setting and accommodation with all you need. I personally don't fish but the two fishermen in the party did catch during the week. Sadly, they didn't catch the weights or volumes guests before and after us did but we're putting that down to an abrupt change in weather just as we arrived - it went cold and rainy for our entire stay. But that didn't put the fishermen off and we're already booked in for 2026. Earlier in the season this time in the hope the catch record is better!

Even though we didn't land anything on this, our fourth year we had a brilliant time on Lac Lucie. We hooked a nice size mirror but lost it at the net. Nigel and Jo are the best hosts ever and Maisie keeps everyone entertained. Nigel's wealth of knowledge and experience is invaluable and he is only too willing to help and advise. Jo's food is outstanding and her love of apps and spreadsheets means she is always ready with facts and figures. Maisie keeps you on your toes with her antics and just like her ball thrown for her. We were also treated to a plethora of wildlife from woodpeckers to lizards and everything in between. If you love fishing in a well kept lake and surroundings, like to stay in a well appointed chalet, pay a visit to Lac Lucie or Kingfisher you will not be disappointed!

The cabin provided comfortable accomodation,and was a stones throw from the lake. The lake itself was picturesque,lovely and quiet and the fishing was very good. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, the use of the hot tub and the daily pastries from the local bakery, were very much appreciated. I would highly recommend Lac Lucie

We have just returned from an amazing (and very eventful) weeks fishing at Carp France Fishing. We had chose to fly to Limoges and use the tackle hire option. We were greeted by Nigel at the airport who was very friendly and knowledgeable and drove us and all our luggage to the lake. Nigel also took us via the supermarket on the way to stock up on food, beers and wine for the first few days.
There were two anglers and one non angler in our group and we had the beautiful chalet overlooking the stunning Kingfisher Lake. Jo meet us at the lake and was very welcoming and showed us around the chalet and made us feel at home right away. Nigel and Jo also gave us a tour of the lake and Nigel provided lots of top tips on hot spots and baits.
We were very impressed with the tackle we hired with it all being top quality tackle and in excellent condition. We had chosen to use the bait rolled by Nigel and again this was a very high quality bait with lots of hook bait options such as hard hookers, wafters and pop ups. The particles and pellets were great too.
The fishing was brilliant and I was very pleased to beat by my carp PB with a stunning 45lb 6oz carp and beat my catfish PB with a 78lb 10oz monster. I also caught some other stunning carp and catfish throughout the week with all the fish in excellent condition.
The other angler in the party unfortunately had a medical emergency part way through the week which required an ambulance being called and a trip to the local hospital. We cannot thank Jo and Nigel enough for their help with this. Jo and Nigel went above and beyond helping with several trips to the hospital and also providing translation, with Jo doing an amazing job at talking in French to the emergency services, paramedics and hospital staff. No words can show our appreciation for both of their help during this difficult time.
Due to the medical emergency the other angler was not able to fish as much as they would have liked to during the week but still managed to catch a couple of beautiful 30lb plus carp during their limited fishing time.
Jo and Nigel also picked us up some very tasty baguettes, croissants and cakes from the local bakery throughout the week. Jo also took us on a second trip to the supermarket to stock up on food and drinks for the second half of the week and Nigel also kindly took us to the local pub for some delicious fish and chips and joined us for a nice cold pint too.
Overall we had a brilliant time and were very impressed with the chalet, the lake, the fish, the countryside and of course the amazing hosting from Jo and Nigel. We would highly recommend Carp France to any anglers (and non anglers) and can’t wait to return in the future. Thank you again from Natty, Mason and Gordon.

Kingfisher lake August 16th to 23rd
Arrived with Nigel and jo welcoming us then went for a walk around the lake with Nigel what stunning place the lake just like old estate lake.nigel and jo let us settle in the kids were loving it from the start straight in the pool as I got set to find the fish it was hard few days only having 3 fish out as the weather had been in the 40s .but it got to Wednesday when I moved swims then set out in the boat finding a few nice spots on the tree line.set all 3 rods on the spots and sat back few hours in we had are 1st one from then by friday we had 41 runs landing 36 fish 3 40s to 48lb 7 x 30s to 38lb and and plenty of high 20s to 29lb.the wife had a go landing a 48lb mirror new french pb .and rio age 7 landing a 30lb common new pb for him brilliant place for the family the cabin is fully equipped with wot you need jo also looks after you with fresh bakery items daily bread etc nigels bait works well having all the fish on the wafter great family walks and the wild life is awesome I've booked to go back for 2026 I've been to good places in France but this is on top for a family carping holiday

We visited Lac Lucie in August with my family, i was the only angler. The fishing was difficult with low water levels and high temperatures although we did manage to catch a few but none the real big fish. Jo and Nigel were are friendly and approachable, Jo picked up croissants and pastries for on a daily basis which was really helpful. The Chalet was clean and tidy, on arrival there was fresh bread, milk and butter in the kitchen for us. I pre ordered bait which was waiting for me at the lake.
I can recommend Carp Franc Fishing if you are after a peaceful week away in beautiful surroundings.

We had a fantastic weeks fishing at Carp France catching carp to over 50lb. The chalet and facilities were top notch and the owners welcoming and accommodating, with airport pickup and regular trips to the supermarket and local bakery provided throughout our stay. We will definitely return.

Best Week Ever!
We have just returned from an amazing week at Carp France Fishing. We stayed in the chalet on beautiful Kingfisher Lake. The lake itself is stunning, so pretty and peaceful with an abundance of wildlife. The chalet is lovely, clean and comfortable and very well equipped with everything you need. The plunge pool is a god send in hot weather.
The fishing was fantastic! There are some lovely good sized fish in the lake and we managed to land 25 carp and 2 catfish despite the weather being very hot.
There is also so much to see and do in the surrounding area so is perfect for families and adds a bit of variety to the holiday.
Nigel and Jo are the perfect hosts, going above and beyond to ensure that guests have a fantastic experience. Breakfast is amazing, either a full English at the house or breakfast baguettes delivered to your swim.
Admittedly, this was our first lake exclusive holiday but I am confident that you would be hard pushed to be better looked after anywhere else and the location is perfect.
Thank you Nigel and Jo for a wonderful week and we can't wait to come back next year.

All of us got PB’s and the boys want to go back for a week next time. The lakes are stunning and Jo and Nigel were really welcoming. We couldn’t recommend the venue any higher. Five star 🤩

Just back from a great week fishing. I would highly recommend the lake if you are looking to relax where the only sounds you will hear are birds singing or fish crashing. There is a good head of fish with some great common carp over 50lb Nigel is a super star having taken over the lake 2 years ago, well maintained very helpful you can see the hard work and improvements he has made and always on hand for advice. We are experiencing carpers but I bet would be perfect for first time visitors to France . Thanks to his wife what’s her face 🤔 only kidding Jo 😂 she kindly brought as fresh croissants to our swims every morning a great way to start the day. We enjoyed a good chat and a beer or two over the week. If you can through a hall Maisie 🐶 will be your friend for the week. We fished king fisher 2 years ago, this time fished lucie both very different lakes and we are booked to return next year. At night with a clear sky the stars are amazing as it’s a dark area. Accommodation was clean well equipped and very comfortable, I struggled to get out of bed much before 8am between the 2 of us we had 23 fish weather was a bit up and down so a couple of slow days I had a PB common 41lbs and my mate had a PB common 51lbs

Well where can I start carp France is AMAZING ……….
From the moment we arrived we was met with a warm welcome from Jo & Nigel and Maisie once we had all introduced our selfs over a cold beer it was time to have a look and walk round our home for the week that is called kingfisher lake a beautiful 7 acre lake that never once disappointed
Both Jo & Nigel have definitely got what only people could ever dream about it’s just stunning and what a week we have had there
There was 5 anglers in our party and plenty of room for everyone to fish comfortably but also keeping a social life with your mates
Jo & Nigel make sure you have everything and everyone is enjoying their time at carp France with Maisie always wagging her tail but who could not be happy there it’s what going to France carp fishing is all about
The facilities were excellent fully equipped lodge with everything you have at home and more
All round superb Jo & Nigel keep doing what your doing and Maisie next year I will bring more treats and a few balls thanks for letting us share your home and until next year take care and all the best Andy and his merry men

The fish we caught were perfect, healthy and beautiful, of the 13 we caught, the biggest two were Harry’s Common at 39lb 3oz and my (Rob) 38lb 3oz, Opal loved roaming freely around the lake, and just laying about taking it all in. After a great week, with great company and great fish we didn’t want to leave, Jo had made us a goody bag for the trip home which was much appreciated. Having not quite reached the 40s and 50s, we have unfinished business on Lac Lucie and will definitely be back in 2026. Nigel Jo and Maisie, thanks again for a brilliant week.

Lac lucie is a beautiful place with fantastic hosts, there are magnificent fish to be caught from hard fighting commons to scaley bangers.
We had a fantastic time and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys tranquility and a beautiful view and plenty of carp in their landing net.
A nice spread of boilies keeps them coming.

If you want to catch stunning fish and be fed excellent food then this is the place to go. The legend, Nigel, will go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and makes sure you will catch fish, and Jo makes sure there is plenty of food. And then there is Maisie who will keep you entertained with her ball. The work Jo and Nigel have done around the lakes and in the chalet over the last 3 years is amazing and Lac Lucie just keeps going from strength to strengh

Andy and myself went on our honeymoon to Carp France . Nigel and Jo were excellent hosts . Both of us hadn’t had a break for years . My first time Lake fishing and I loved it .
King Fisher Lake was idolic and peaceful which we needed .
For me as a lady I loved the swimming pool and I loved first time fishing 🎣 and sleeping in the bivvy 2 nights you have the best of both worlds with the chalet .
We had breakfast every morning with Nigel and Jo and Maisie the dog .
Jo and Nigel are great hosts with lots of knowledge.
At the end of the day I was wanting that Fishing experience and I got everything.

Jo and Nigel are Fantastic hosts, welcomed us onto the Lakes, with a personal tour and valuable information of the venue. A Stocked the cabin with essentials inc beer with the aim to help get us Fishing without the worry of getting in essential items. The evening meals and morning bakery run, was very well received and again enabled us to focus on the fishing.
The daily catch up with the visit of Maisie was very appreciated along with the hints and tips.

I have been fortunate enough to fish all over the world, from Barracuda in Cuba to Bass and Walleye in North America. Out of all the fishing holidays I’ve ever had, this was by far the best. The only downside being we had to leave early to attend a wedding. I managed 2 x 20’s, 5 x 30’s & 4 x 40’s in 12 days fishing. A big thank you to Jo, Nigel & it goes without saying, Maisie, the “ball” terrier! We were made to feel really welcome and all of the fish were in A1 condition. Many thanks and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2025.

This was my first ever fishing trip to france, and what a trip it was. Between the four of us we had over 50 carp out in the week we were there. It was an amazing venue with fabulous hosts jo and nigel were more than accomadating, the food was also a bonus. I had a pb and so did two of my friends which i was more than pleased with. Great fishing in a stunning enviroment.

Me and the brothers and one of our friends visited kingfisher lake and I can honestly say it was amazing. The fishing was great even though the weather tried its hardest to upset things! The chalet was great and comfortable and the lake is beautiful, we had some lovely carp with the biggest coming out at 50lb. Nigel and Jo were brilliant hosts, paying us regular visits around the lake and offered some great advice when the fishing was tough… oh we can’t forget Maisie the family dog! Will 100% be returning and I would give more than 5 stars if I could. See you next time guys. The blue scousers Tom, Chris, Mike, Joe and Jake 🙂

For someone who doesn't particularly like fishing and only went to give my partner company, what an amazing time we had. The lake itself it's beautiful... I mean just look at the photos below. Chris loved fishing on this lake and the challenge of getting each fish. The owners Jo and Nigel are the icing on the cake. Such amazing host and made sure we felt at home helping with anything we needed, whether that be trip to the shops, fishing the lake and cooking our meals. They was so accommodating and honestly made the trip so special for us. We cannot wait to fish with them again! Just to throw in Chris beating his PB put that cherry on top of the whole trip!

Wonderful lake and hosts fishing was very good considering the 35 degrees temperatures we managed to catch 26 fish between 3 of us largest being 44.4lb common,we opted for the food package which was very high standard and Jo and Nigel were excellent hosts going above and beyond couldn't of asked for anything more, we would highly recommend this venue, thank you Jo and Nigel for a excellent week.

Wow what can I say about this fantastic place .The hosts Jo and Nigel were fantastic nothing was too much trouble Nigel showed us around the lake and gave us some very good advise .The cabin was lovely everything you could need .the Fishing experience was 5star all 3 of us smashed our Uk PBS mine was uk 23lb now 33lb Alex 26lb now 34lb and Tom 20 lb uk now a staggering 44lb what a fish 17 fish caught all in Superb condition full of fight the lake is superb so peaceful and quiet a Truly 5STAR EXPERIENCE Was Had by all Keep up the excellent job you are doing Anybody visiting Lac Lucie will never be Disappointed . Once again JO and NIGEl thankyou for an amazing Week

Came out to France fishing for the first time with my son and friend on kingfisher lake . Can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience. Jo and Nigel went above and beyond looking after us the whole time we were there. Spent last week at Lac Lucie with the family combining fishing with a family holiday. What a fantastic week, Jo and Nigel were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome, with good banter and Maisie the dog was excellent company too.
The facilities were just what we needed, especially the dip pool and hot tub as the weather got warmer through the week.
The home cooked food was delicious.

Just like to say, the owners of carp France Nigel & Joe are a very nice couple.
The lodge was good ,nice size bedrooms plenty of utility's .
The weather was against use big time but 16 fish nice size in very very good condition, the lake we think is the prettiest lake we have been to , and that is over the last 10 Yrs .

Great fishing 29 out in a week from two of us on Lac lucie, fish on Nigels boilies and you can't go wrong. Amazing hosts, and you can't miss out on the most friendliest dog you'll meet!

Incredible trip. Jo and Nigel are the best hosts you could hope for. Could not do enough for you. Strongly considering re-booking next year as our trip was made fantastic by these guys. Fished Lac Lucie. Had carp to 41lbs and cats to 50lbs. Really could not recommend more highly. They have a lovely dog called Maisie who loves company and someone to throw her ball.
Cray fish are present in the lake - but they didn't cause us much trouble. Using plastics or wrapping your hookbaits gets round them. Conscious efforts are being taken to reduce their presence in the lakes - and the overall life Nigel is breathing into the lakes is really promising. He was able to give us great advice on how to approach the lake that lead all 3 of us to multiple captures.
The venue is perfectly suited to experienced anglers looking for social and enjoyable fishing - aswell as less experienced anglers looking for a challenge with great guidance.
Cray fish are present in the lake - but they didn't cause us much trouble. Using plastics or wrapping your hookbaits gets round them. Conscious efforts are being taken to reduce their presence in the lakes - and the overall life Nigel is breathing into the lakes is really promising. He was able to give us great advice on how to approach the lake that lead all 3 of us to multiple captures.

14 April 2025I’ve been fishing for 50 years and this was one of my best sessions 😀. Great hosts good accommodation. Well worth a visit . My wife and stepdaughter relaxed and enjoyed the local area .

11 October 2024I went to lac Lucie with my brother in September, it was my first time fishing in France, and it was the best weeks fishing I’ve ever had , I loved it that much I’ve already rebooked to go again. Nigel and Jo are really lovely couple and make you feel at home , I highly recommend visiting this place it also has 2 lakes on site lac Lucie or the kingfisher lake

3 of us visited carp France lac Lucie last week me my son and a mate. I cannot recommend this place enough tha hosts Jo & Nigel were great,up for a laugh and if you take the food package you won’t be disappointed. We had the breakfast & evening meal package. Beautiful lakes and quiet. The fishing was great with 2 pbs broken. 27 nice fish landed biggest 45lb plenty of 20s & 30s & 2 over 40lb. Nothing was any trouble for Joe & Nigel to sort out for us. The cabin,pool & hot tub was great for a bit of a rest away from fishing. We will be back again. Thanks Barry.

2 September 2024We visited Lac Lucie for a week in August. My partner and Son although had done some fishing in the UK had never carp fished before. With encouragement and guidance from Nigel they had the best experience ever!! Catching 10 fish between them and not fishing every day or night fishing was an amazing achievement for them, they have definitely now caught the bug!!! Jo and Nigel could not do enough for us and were amazing hosts they went above and beyond to make our stay a magical one. The chalet is amazing and accommodates all your needs for a very comfortable stay!! If you fewl like a day off feom.the Lakea there are also amaz2ong local places to visit! There aren't enough words too describe how this place makes you feel. Special memories made for life and we will definitely be back!! Thank you is not enough 🥰
